#estate manager
- Lessee — A person (individual or legal entity) who takes agricultural assets or estates on lease, structurally committing to exploit them and to pay the owner the established contractual price; a tenant farmer or lessee. In a Romanian historical context (18th-20th centuries), the term designated the often severe manager who rented boyar or monastic estates, managing peasant labor and collecting rural revenues.
- Female leaseholder — A woman who holds or manages an estate under a lease agreement; the wife of a leaseholder (arendaș). In past rural social structures, she represented an authoritative figure actively involved in large household management, supervising agricultural works performed by peasants, and keeping barn stock records, occasionally depicted in historical prose for her firm or severe character.
