#embryonic cell
- Acrocyst — An anatomical, external, and temporary vesicular formation observed in the development cycle of certain marine hydroid organisms (polyps, hydrozoans), serving as a protective chamber or external structural sac inside which the sexual cells (eggs) are retained and protected during the initial stages of embryonic development before their release as planula.
- Astroblast — An undifferentiated embryonic cell derived from the neuroectoderm, which constitutes the direct precursor stage in the development of astrocytes (glial cells with a supporting and nutritional role in the central nervous system). In the context of oncological pathology, the term is closely related to astroblastoma, a rare brain tumor characterized by the abnormal proliferation of these primitive cells in nervous tissue.
- Autoblast — An early embryonic cell or an autonomous cellular entity capable of self-development and independent differentiation without requiring direct stimulation from surrounding tissues. In an extended biological sense, it denotes a fundamental morphological unit endowed with an intrinsic proliferation dynamic, playing a crucial role in the primordial stages of organogenesis within complex organisms.
