#dual fruiting
- Amphicarpy — A rare biological and morphological phenomenon found in certain angiosperm plant species that produce two structural types of fruits, completely different in shape, structure, and anatomical location. This adaptive mechanism typically includes the development of normal aerial fruits (intended for long-distance dissemination via wind or animals) and subterranean cleistogamous fruits, resulting from self-fertile flowers that bury themselves in the soil, ensuring species survival in unstable habitats.
