#dimension
- Depth — The dimension of an object, cavity, or space measured vertically from top to bottom, from a reference surface to the floor or base; a considerable distance from the outer edge toward the interior of a medium. Figuratively, the term defines the intensity, depth, or thoroughness of a feeling, philosophical thought, or scientific analysis.
- Dimensionless — Having no physical dimension, or whose fundamental units of measurement cancel each other out through ratio, being expressed as a pure number without an associated unit of measurement; in physics and mechanics, it describes a structural quantity (such as the Reynolds number or friction coefficient) obtained via dimensional analysis to simplify mathematical equations and allow scaled modeling of complex phenomena.
- Oversized — Exceeding the legal, standard clearance or normal geometric limits allowed for transport on public roads, railways, or waterways. It refers specifically to heavy vehicles, large industrial equipment, or special loads requiring special transport permits, specific routes, and pilot escort cars.
- Anaglyph — A stereoscopic image, photograph, or film structurally produced by superimposing two bidimensional images of the same subject, chromatically filtered through complementary colors (usually red for the left eye and cyan for the right eye). When viewed through a special pair of glasses with matching color filters, this visual assembly produces a perfect optical illusion of depth, relief, and three-dimensional spatiality in the observer's brain.
- Area — A geometric or metric magnitude expressing the extent of a two-dimensional surface structurally bounded within a plane or a topological manifold. In a technical and mathematical sense, the term is a modern loanword often used as a direct scientific equivalent for surface or area, serving as a fundamental parameter in calculus, architecture, cadastre, and three-dimensional shape modeling.
- Size — An extremely rare regional or archaic form, used in certain dialects to describe an opening, a maximum width, a structural capacity of a space, or a form historically derived from or confused with the term 'mărime'. Its locally preserved meaning refers to the general size or proportion of an object or an empirically delimited area of land.
- Assemblage — A structural system or complex structure resulting from the joining, interlocking, and mechanical, rigid, or mobile fixing of several independent parts, components, or elements. In an artistic sense, it represents a three-dimensional work created by combining heterogeneous objects or diverse materials, offering a new aesthetic and conceptual unity.
- Astralon — A high-quality transparent plastic material, manufactured from unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC), structurally characterized by exceptional dimensional stability, resistance to moisture and thermal deformation. It is widely used in cartography, photogrammetry, lithography, and precision technical drawing as a non-deformable substrate for tracing, copying, or engraving maps and topographic plans.
- Autofit — A software function or algorithm for the automatic resizing of structural elements (such as table columns and rows, text boxes, or images) to perfectly fit the size of the displayed content or screen boundaries. In spreadsheet applications, this command prevents data truncation by dynamically widening or narrowing the available space.
