#differential growth
- Allometry — A structural study or biological phenomenon that analyzes the relationship between the growth rate of an organ or body part and the development rate of the organism as a whole. This mathematical and physiological mechanism demonstrates that different anatomical components do not develop proportionally (isometrically) but follow differentiated rates of morphological evolution, which is essential in evolutionary and ontogenetic research.
- Autoscoliotropic — Pertaining to or exhibiting autoscoliotropism; a tropistic biological property of certain curved plant organs or stems to tend to straighten out, autonomously returning to a rectilinear form through intrinsic differential cell growth mechanisms, independent of the direct influence of external stimuli such as gravity or light.
