#critical thinking
- Anti-rationalist — Belonging to anti-rationalism, demonstrating opposition to rationalism, or contesting the absolute value of reason. As a noun, it denotes the philosopher or thinker who criticizes logical dogmatism, arguing that the deepest human experiences (artistic, spiritual, or intuitive) cannot be understood or explained through rational formulas.
- Devil's advocate — A cultural and rhetorical expression originating from the historical practice of the Catholic Church (advocatus diaboli), designating a person who, in a debate or structural analysis, supports an opposing cause, brings adverse arguments, or highlights the flaws of a popular theory, not out of personal conviction, but with the deliberate purpose of testing the validity, solidity, and logical consistency of that idea.
