#craniometry
- Antinion — A craniometric reference point located on the midline of the skull, defined as the most prominent point on the anterior surface of the cranium, situated directly opposite to the inion (external occipital protuberance); it is used in physical anthropology and neuroimaging to measure sagittal diameters and establish structural coordinates of the head.
- Asterion — A craniometric landmark point located on the lateral surface of the skull, marking the junction of three bony sutures: the lambdoid, parietomastoid, and occipitomastoid sutures, corresponding to the location of the posterolateral (mastoid) fontanelle in the newborn.
