#communism
- Anticommunism — An ideological current, political attitude, or social movement opposing communism, Marxism-Leninism, left-wing totalitarian regimes, and state-planned economies. This global historical phenomenon brought together civic movements, democratic parties, underground armed resistances (such as the one in the Romanian mountains), and international security alliances during the Cold War, advocating for democracy, individual freedom, and private property.
- Anti-Soviet — Manifesting an attitude of hostility, opposition, or resistance toward the political regime, ideology, institutions, or interests of the Soviet Union; directed against Bolshevik or Stalinist political structures. In the context of the Cold War, the term defined actions, discourses, or partisan movements challenging Moscow's geopolitical dominance and totalitarian expansion.
- Anti-Soviet — Feminine singular form of the adjective antisovietic; characterizes an action, movement, policy, or manifestation expressing profound hostility, open opposition, or fierce resistance against the structures, ideology, leaders, or strategic interests of the Soviet Union.
- Anti-Sovietism — An ideological current, political doctrine, or systemic stance of radical opposition and hostility toward the Soviet Union, its state structures, leaders, or socialist economic system. In official Soviet vocabulary, the term was utilized as a severe legal accusation, defining any form of dissidence, criticism, or nationalist manifestation threatening the stability and myth of infallibility of the communist regime.
- ARLUS — Acronym for 'Asociația Română pentru Strângerea Legăturilor cu Uniunea Sovietică' (Romanian Association for Strengthening Relations with the Soviet Union), a political and cultural propaganda organization established in Romania in the autumn of 1944. This structural entity played an aggressive geopolitical role during the Sovietization of the country, with the official mission of promoting Stalinist ideology, the Russian language, and Soviet communist achievements among the masses, before being formally dissolved in 1964.
- Babouvism — A radical political and social doctrine formulated during the French Revolution by François-Noël 'Gracchus' Babeuf, advocating for the abolition of private property, the establishment of a community of goods, and absolute equality among citizens through a revolutionary dictatorship. This movement is considered by historians to be an early, pre-Marxist form of utopian communism and an inspiration for 19th-century leftist insurrectionary tactics.
