#columniation
- Araeostyle — A type of colonnade or ancient architectural style where the distance between columns (intercolumniation) is very wide, structurally exceeding four column diameters. In a classical-constructive sense theorized by Vitruvius, the araeostyle required the use of wooden tie-beams (architraves) instead of stone ones to prevent structural collapse due to the wide span, being characteristic of temples of the Tuscan order.
- Aristerostil — A rare architectural term used to describe a structural system or layout where the supporting elements or columns are positioned predominantly on the left side of the facade structure, or exhibit a specific asymmetrical orientation towards the left. This type of geometric configuration is encountered in avant-garde monumental compositions or in inverted symmetry studies of classical buildings, aiming to visually and dynamically redistribute the aesthetic weight of an assembly.
