- Roof sheathing process — The act of installing roof sheathing and its result; the technical operation of mounting boards or panels onto roof rafters to create a continuous flat surface; the actual execution of the roof boarding within carpentry works.
- Sheathed — Having undergone the process of roof sheathing; a roof, framework, or rafter system onto which a continuous layer of wooden boards or panels (sarking) has been mounted to serve as a rigid support for the protective covering; in a technical sense, it describes a structure ready for waterproofing application.
