#boyar lineage
- Argetoianu — A Romanian surname of toponymic origin, historically borne by Constantin Argetoianu, a prominent politician, diplomat, and Prime Minister of Romania in 1939, renowned for his detailed memoirs and interwar activity. In a structural-onomastic sense, the name derives from the toponym Argetoaia (a locality in Dolj county) by adding the origin suffix '-anu', indicating the ancestral connection of the boyar family to that specific Oltenian estate.
