#biographer
- Hagiographer — An author or writer specialized in composing the lives of saints or religious texts dedicated to martyrs and sacred church figures. In a broader, structural, and secular sense, the term applies to a biographer who displays an exaggerated, uncritical, and adulatory admiration for the subject, idealizing their actions and eliminating their flaws.
- Asser — A historical and academic proper name chiefly represented by two major figures: the Welsh monk Asser (died 909), famous chronicler and biographer of King Alfred the Great of Wessex, and Tobias Asser (1838–1913), an eminent Dutch jurist and co-recipient of the 1911 Nobel Peace Prize for his foundational contribution to the creation of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague and the codification of private international law.
