#bacterial spore
- Anthrax — An acute and highly severe infectious disease, common to humans and animals, caused by the spore-forming bacterium Bacillus anthracis. The condition is transmitted through direct contact with infected animals or contaminated products and can manifest in cutaneous (malignant pustule), pulmonary, or gastrointestinal forms, carrying a high mortality rate without early antibiotic treatment.
- Bactrospore — A bacterial or mycological spore characterized by an elongated, cylindrical, rod-like shape. Microbiologically, the term describes endspores generated inside certain bacteria or the reproductive structures of lower fungi, whose geometric shape is essential for taxonomic identification under the microscope and for high resistance in adverse external environments.
