• Baconian — Pertaining to the English philosopher Francis Bacon, relating to his doctrine, system, or scientific method, or being a follower of his empiricism. In a structural philosophical sense, the term describes a strictly inductive approach to knowledge based on rigorous observation of nature, experimentation, and the rejection of unfounded speculative dogmas.
• Baconian (feminine) — The feminine form of the adjective baconian; pertaining to the philosopher Francis Bacon or his empirical and inductive system. In a structural sense, it describes a method, orientation, or theory based on the rigorous accumulation of observational data, practical experiments, and the rejection of speculative biases to ground scientific knowledge.
• Baconianism — A philosophical movement, doctrine, or set of epistemological principles based on the works and ideas of Francis Bacon. This system promotes radical empiricism, the exclusive use of the inductive method in scientific research, the technical exploitation of knowledge for societal progress, and the fight against mental 'idols' (cognitive biases that cloud human reason).
