• Archaic warning — An archaic, regional, or obsolete spelling variant of the noun 'avertisment' (warning), used sporadically in administrative and journalistic writings of past centuries or in folk speech; it denotes a caution, a written reprimand, or a summons by which a fiscal obligation or a disciplinary infraction was brought to attention. In modern Romanian, current orthographic standards exclusively require the use of the standard variant 'avertisment'.
