#autonomy movement
- Anti-colonial — Opposing colonialism, imperialist dominance, or the political and economic exploitation of territories by foreign powers; relating to the national liberation movements of colonized peoples. In a historical and geopolitical sense, it describes revolts, doctrines, treaties, or discourses that campaigned for independence and self-determination during the 19th and 20th centuries.
- Autonomism — A political doctrine, movement, or orientation that advocates for obtaining, extending, or maintaining the administrative, legislative, or cultural autonomy of a region or an ethnic community within a sovereign unitary state. This doctrinal current leans toward the decentralization of central power without necessarily pursuing complete territorial separation or total state independence, focusing instead on the recognition of specific structural rights.
