• Astrology — An archaic variant (of Slavic-Greek type, used before the 19th century) for the term 'astrology'; a pseudoscience or divinatory craft claiming that human destinies and earthly events are determined by the movements and positions of celestial bodies. In old Romanian manuscripts, the term designated both the interpretation of zodiac signs and the rudimentary astronomical calculations with which it was historically confused.
