- Argedava — The name of an important Daco-Getic fortified dava or citadel, archaeologically located at Popești (Giurgiu county) on the banks of the Argeș river, considered by some historians to be the first capital of Burebista's kingdom. In a structural-archaeological sense, Argedava represented a major political, military, and commercial center, featuring a fortified acropolis, defensive earth ramparts, and craft workshops demonstrating tight economic ties with the Hellenistic world.
