- Pier — A constructed platform, fixed or floating hydrotechnical structure (pontoon, small pier, jetty) located on a waterfront, specifically designed to facilitate the mooring of boats, passenger boarding/disembarking, and cargo handling. Historically in rail networks, it denoted a cargo loading platform.
- Arena — A circular or oval central space, covered with sand, located in the middle of an ancient amphitheater, intended for gladiator combats, chariot races, or public spectacles. In a modern sense, it represents a large, often indoor architectural structure equipped with tiered stands for spectators, structurally used for sports competitions, massive concerts, or public events. Figuratively, it denotes a field of intense activity where ideological disputes or major confrontations take place.
- Attic — An unadapted form or neologism used as a variant for 'atic' or to describe elements specific to the ancient region of Attica; in architecture, it represents a low story situated above the main cornice of a building to mask the roof; in linguistics, it refers to the ancient Greek dialect spoken in Athens, a structural pillar of classical Greek.
