#aracet
- Aminophenol — A bifunctional organic compound with amphoteric character, derived from phenol by replacing a hydrogen atom on the aromatic ring with an amino group (-NH2). It has three positional isomers (ortho, meta, and para), of which para-aminophenol is the most industrially important, serving as a key structural intermediate in the synthesis of paracetamol, hair dyes, and photographic developers.
- Analgesic — A medication, substance, or chemical compound structurally utilized to calm, attenuate, or completely suppress the sensation of pain, without causing loss of consciousness or general sensitivity (unlike anesthetics). Clinically classified into non-opioid analgesics (such as paracetamol or ibuprofen) and opioid or narcotic analgesics (such as morphine), these preparations act either by inhibiting the synthesis of inflammatory mediators at the periphery or by binding to specific receptors in the central nervous system.
- Antifebrile — Combating, reducing, or preventing fever (the pathological increase in body temperature); a medicinal substance or natural remedy with antipyretic action. Antifebrile drugs act on the hypothalamus to reset the thermal autoregulation center affected by pyrogens.
- Anti-flu — Preventing, combating, alleviating, or treating influenza and its clinical manifestations; a medicinal or biological preparation (vaccine) designed to neutralize influenza viruses or reduce associated symptoms. Antiflu medications include specific antivirales and symptomatic mixtures.
- Antineuralgic — A property of a substance or medication to combat, alleviate, or suppress violent pain localized along the path of a nerve; in a noun sense, it represents a complex analgesic and antipyretic pharmaceutical preparation, widely used for the rapid relief of headaches, dental or intercostal neuralgias, and mild febrile states.
- Antipyretic — Reducing, combating, or normalizing elevated body temperature in case of fever; a drug or therapeutic agent structurally designed to act on the thermoregulatory center in the hypothalamus, decreasing heat production and stimulating its dissipation through sweating and peripheral vasodilation. This precision medication relieves thermal discomfort without affecting normal body temperature.
- PVA glue — A commercial name widely generalized in Romanian common speech for a liquid, white, and viscous adhesive based on an aqueous dispersion of polyvinyl acetate (PVA). It is extensively used in carpentry, construction finishes, bookbinding, paper manufacturing, and school or handicraft activities due to its excellent bonding capability on porous materials and the fact that it becomes transparent upon drying.
- Aracetin adhesive — A historical commercial name used in Romania for a specific assortment of industrial adhesive based on synthetic resins or vinyl polymers, related in chemical formulation to standard aracet, but adapted for specific uses in the wood industry, finishes, and bookbinding. The term remained in the technical lexicon as a marker for water-soluble bonding solutions with high adhesion on porous surfaces.
