In psychology and philosophy, it describes the conscious act of immediate mental grasping of a reality, while in an international legal (bookish) context, it can also mean to arrest or detain a person.
• Apprehended — Having been perceived, understood, or structurally grasped by reason or intuition; a concept or object assimilated into an individual's system of knowledge. In an international criminal or policing context, it describes the state of a suspect or fugitive who has been captured, detained, or arrested by authorities.
