• Anthophytosis — A rare pathological term utilized to describe an illness or intoxication occurring in animals following the excessive or accidental consumption of toxic flowers or flower buds; in a secondary phytopathological sense, it can denote a specific parasitic or fungal disease attacking exclusively the floral organs of higher plants, causing bud abortion and crop failure.
