#anthodium
- Anthodium — A type of pseudanthium inflorescence, characteristic of plants in the Asteraceae (Compositae) family, consisting of a widened, flat, convex, or concave common receptacle on which numerous small flowers are sessile, tightly grouped and surrounded at the base by an involucre of green bracts. This biological structure simulates the appearance of a single large flower to efficiently attract pollinators.
