• Antenor — A legendary character in Greek mythology, a wise Trojan counselor during the Trojan War, recognized for his moderate stance and attempts to secure peace by returning Helen to the Greeks. After the fall of Troy, tradition credits his survival to the hospitality shown to Hellenic envoys and the founding of cities in northern Italy (such as Padua). In a rare antonomastic sense, the name can describe a prudent advisor or peace negotiator.
