#amplitude
- Amplitude — The maximum value of a variable quantity during an oscillation or a periodic phenomenon, measured from the equilibrium position to the highest point of the wave. In a meteorological sense, it represents the difference between the maximum and minimum values of temperature within a given time interval; by literary extension, the term expresses the greatness, proportion, width, or distinct scope of a social or intellectual phenomenon.
- Anisoscillometry — A clinical medical investigation method consisting of measuring and comparatively analyzing the oscillometric index or arterial pulsation amplitude between two symmetrical regions of the body (typically between the left and right limbs). This diagnostic technique is used to detect circulatory asymmetries, segmental vascular obstructions, or obliterating arteriopathies by highlighting discrepancies in pulsatile volume.
- Antinodal — Pertaining to or relating to an antinode (venter); located in the region of maximum amplitude of a standing wave, where the constructive interference of the component waves causes the maximum displacement, oscillation, or variation of a physical parameter (pressure, velocity, electric field).
