#alosa

• Allosaurus — A genus of large bipedal theropod dinosaur, carnivorous, that lived during the Late Jurassic period (approximately 155 to 145 million years ago), operating as the apex predator in what is now North America (Morrison Formation). It was characterized by a massive skull equipped with dozens of sharp, serrated teeth, short but powerful forelimbs ending in three fingers with large claws, and a long, heavy tail used for balance.
• Alos — An archaic or regional popular name derived from scientific nomenclature (genus Alosa) used to designate various fish species in the Clupeidae family, specifically the Danube shad or its adjacent lineages. This euryhaline migratory fish is structurally characterized by an elongated, hydrodynamic body and silvery scales, studied within population dynamics in European hydrographic basins.
• Allosaur — A large bipedal carnivorous dinosaur from the order Saurischia (genus Allosaurus) that lived during the Late Jurassic period. This top structural predator was characterized by a massive skull equipped with serrated, sharp teeth, powerful hind limbs, and relatively short forelimbs provided with three sharp claws, being one of the most studied fossil reptiles.
• Allosaur — An alternative spelling form or Romanian phonetic variant for allosaur; a large bipedal carnivorous dinosaur from the order Saurischia (genus Allosaurus) that dominated terrestrial ecosystems during the Late Jurassic period. This predator was structurally characterized by a massive skull equipped with long, serrated teeth, muscular hind limbs, and forelimbs provided with curved, sharp claws.
