#alohton
- Allochore — A term used to describe an organism, particularly a plant or vegetable species, dispersed into territories outside its native range through external, non-biological, or accidental dispersion means (such as human activity, wind, or water currents). In structural ecology, it defines allochthonous species introduced into a new habitat, where they may become naturalized or invasive.
- Allochthonous — Having formed or originated elsewhere than its current location of deposition or existence; an element (rock mass, mineral, plant or animal species) foreign to the local environment in which it is integrated. In geology, it defines thrust sheets or sediments transported from great distances by tectonic or water forces, whereas in ecology it designates a species introduced into a biotope distinct from its native range.
