#alaciu
- Archaic einkorn — An old, archaic, and regional phonetic variant of the masculine noun 'alac'; it designates the ancient wheat (Triticum monococcum or Triticum spelta) characterized by dense spikes and grains tightly enclosed in hard glumes. This term preserves an archaic vocalic ending in '-iu', being encountered in old Transylvanian or Moldavian glossaries and 18th-century agrarian manuscripts, reflecting a stage of linguistic transition prior to the morphological normalization and standardization of cereal names in modern Romanian.
