• Aeromagnetometry — An airborne geophysical method of prospecting and mapping consisting of the continuous measurement and recording of the Earth's magnetic field intensity (or its local variations) using a sensitive magnetometer mounted on board an aircraft (airplane, helicopter, or drone). This modern technique allows the detection of magnetic anomalies caused by subterranean geological structures or ferrous mineral deposits.
