• Aborting — The act of aborting or prematurely terminating a process; the spontaneous or induced termination of a pregnancy (medical term used as a modern synonym for abortion); (in computer science and technology) the process of forcibly and immediately stopping the execution of a program, a script, a data transaction, or an operational mission before scheduled completion; (figurative sense) the early failure of a plan or project.
• Abortion — The premature termination of pregnancy before the fetus is viable (capable of independent survival outside the uterine environment), resulting in the expulsion or extraction of the product of conception from the uterus. Clinically and etiologically, it is classified into spontaneous abortion (miscarriage caused by genetic anomalies, endocrine dysfunctions, or biological traumas) and induced abortion (voluntary termination of gestation carried out through medical or surgical procedures).
