#abiotic
- Abiology — A theoretical field or branch of study that deals with the research of structures, phenomena, and factors in nature that do not exhibit life or biological characteristics, analyzing the interaction between the inanimate (inorganic) environment and the living one.
- Abiotic — A quality designating an environment, factor, or process characterized by the absence of life or living organisms. In ecology, it refers to the inanimate physical and chemical components of an ecosystem, such as light, temperature, water, soil, and air, which condition the existence of the biocenosis.
- Autoecology — A branch of ecology that studies the complex relationships between a single biological species (or a single organism) and the abiotic and biotic environmental factors in which it lives; a structural analysis of how individuals of a species adapt physiologically, behaviorally, and morphologically to variations in temperature, humidity, light, or food within their specific habitat.
