#Peruvian lily
- Alstroemeria — A genus of perennial herbaceous plants in the Alstroemeriaceae family, native to South America (especially from mountainous regions in Chile and Brazil), popularly known as 'Peruvian lilies' or 'lilies of the Incas'. This structural taxon encompasses species recognized for their tuberous rhizomes, resupinate leaves (twisted upside down on the petiole), and intensely colored, asymmetric flowers, widely cultivated in horticulture as cut flowers due to their exceptional longevity in vases.
- Alstroemeria aurantiaca — The scientific Latin designation (a valid synonym frequently used for Alstroemeria aurea) denoting the orange Peruvian lily, a perennial herbaceous plant species in the Alstroemeriaceae family, native to Chile and Argentina. This robust ornamental plant stands out structurally due to its bright yellow-orange inflorescences (aurantiaca), featuring inner petals decorated with brown streaks and flecks, being one of the hardiest species of the genus against low temperatures in gardens.
- Alstroemeria haemantha — The scientific Latin designation for a remarkable perennial herbaceous plant species within the Alstroemeria genus, Alstroemeriaceae family, native to the mountainous regions and dry valleys of Chile. This ornamental plant stands out structurally due to its dense, blood-red or scarlet inflorescences (haemantha), featuring inner petals decorated with yellow splashes and fine brown streaks, heavily utilized in genetic breeding to obtain commercial Peruvian lily hybrids.
- Alstroemeria pelegrina — The scientific Latin designation for the pink Peruvian lily, a perennial herbaceous plant species in the Alstroemeriaceae family, native to the coastal regions of Chile and Peru. This species is highly valued structurally in landscape design due to its large, open-faced flowers featuring pale lilac-pink or pinkish-white petals, decorated centrally with intense purple splotches and a bright yellow zone, representing the type species of the entire Alstroemeria genus.
