#Baal
- Baal — An honorific title and proper noun of Semitic origin, originally meaning 'master', 'lord', or 'owner'; the supreme deity of fertility, weather, rain, and storm in Canaanite, Phoenician, and Carthaginian mythologies (as Baal Hammon). In biblical texts and subsequent Judeo-Christian traditions, the term was demonized, often used as a generic name for competing pagan deities or integrated into complex demonological figures like Beelzebub.
- Baalbek — A city located in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon, world-renowned for its archaeological complex of monumental Roman temples, which are among the largest and best-preserved from antiquity. Known during the Hellenistic and Roman periods as Heliopolis (City of the Sun), the site houses impressive megalithic structures such as the Temple of Jupiter, the Temple of Bacchus, and the Temple of Venus, and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its unique architectural value.
- Baalzebub — A name derived from a Philistine deity originally worshipped in the city of Ekron, literally translated as 'Lord of the flies'. In the evolution of biblical texts from the Old and New Testaments, the term was pejoratively altered and assimilated into Judeo-Christian culture as a major demonic entity, being directly identified as the prince of demons, a manifestation of Satan, or a spiritual leader of the forces of darkness (also known under the adapted name Beelzebub).
