#Altamas

• Altamas — An archaic onomastic and toponymic term of Turanic origin, historically attested as a personal name (Tatar khan, character in popular writings like Alexandria) and used as a geographical name for mountainous landforms. In historical lexicography, it represents a structural variant closely linked to the evolution of proper names of Eastern influence assimilated into the medieval Romanian territory.
• Altamus — A toponymic and onomastic variant of the term Altămaș, primarily used in geographical maps and lexicons of mountainous regions (e.g., the Muscel area) to denote a mountain peak or ridge. It is the result of local vocalic assimilation, preserving the same historical background tied to ancient Tatar migrations and Eastern linguistic influences.
